		<description>Zale,
This is a great program. This is high ground. This is the fair warning before the cyclist tries to jump 50 busses. He may still try to jump, but if something goes wrong, he will have nobody to blame but himself.
Each generation will have people who make mistakes. I think an honest discussion with young females and women who have undergone the procedure and who regret it would do mountains more good than simply changing the law and throwing people in jail.
The message could become, "a born human will only live a certain number of years, but an abortion is forever." Women who have had the procedure often wonder what their child would have been like years after the procedure is done. If they bear the child and give it up for adoption, there is at least a chance they can find out about their child later in life.
The message should quite squarely be that if one has an abortion, her conscience may make her pay for it for the rest of her life, and thereafter, her God may. Attaching the Christian or any other religios stance to the message only hinders progress. Sure, Christians will cheer, but you're preaching to the choir.
Everybody isn't a Christian, much, I'm sure, to your dismay. Everybody is human, though. Once Christians start using the force of government against others, the message gets lost, liberals regain influence, and we are back to square one. People have to come by whatever realization on their own.
You have stated that we can change the law, but not opinion. I disagree. Opinions can always be changed, and I think they would easily change as long as we were honest and not forceful.
